This little watercolour was painted on a recent trip to Japan. When we climbed up to visit Hokoku-jinja Shrine, this beautiful pagoda was popping up just over the greenery with the cherry blossoms framing it perfectly. I couldn’t resist making these little prints of the original in my sketchbook.
